As I read this post from Tracey Wilson of the CCFR, I cried. Many firearm owners will remember May 1st as the day Trudeau abandoned democracy. I’ll forever remember it as the day I saw my Dad’s heart break when he learned of the firearms ban...
Reading William’s letter reminded me that there were many more hearts that broke across this country. We have to fight for William. #WeAreAllWilliam
Opening the CCFR mail I came across a crumpled, battered envelope. Inside was a hand-written note on wrinkled, torn paper. It said "My name is William and I am 81 years old. I've owned guns all my life and I am so upset with the Liberal government. I'm too old to fight and I don't have much, so I sent everything I could"
Tucked in the envelope was a weathered, folded up $10 bill (actual cash).
I sat and stared at that note for a long time. I ran my fingers over his words and maybe I'm a bit tired but a big tear welled up and spilled over and down my cheek.
People from every walk of life, from every corner of this country, of all ages, colours, beliefs and economic backgrounds, all united behind a single, massive movement - the battle for our property, rights and freedoms.
William - you are not too old to fight. I'm thankful for you. We will not let you down. This one's for you, William 💕 #TeamCCFR #MailCall #Battle #fight #TeamWilliam #WeAreAllWilliam #10dollars #EverythingHelps
